At Amber’s Legacy, our mission is to raise awareness, encourage conversations and help people recognise when something doesn’t feel right.
We attend awareness events across the North East, giving us the opportunity to meet members of our community, share information about women’s health and cancer awareness, and encourage people to be more confident about speaking up and seeking help.
To continue reaching more people, we are looking for volunteers to join our team at awareness events. 🌸
Could you help us make a difference?
You don't need to be an expert, and you don't need previous volunteering experience. What matters most is that you are kind, approachable and passionate about helping others.
Our volunteers can help with things such as:
💗 Supporting us at awareness stalls and events
💬 Talking to members of the public
📚 Handing out information and awareness materials
🌸 Encouraging conversations about women's health
📝 Helping visitors find useful information and support
📦 Helping with setting up and packing away
😊 Simply being a friendly and welcoming face for Amber’s Legacy
Every conversation matters
Sometimes, one conversation can make a lasting difference.
By helping us share information and encourage people to listen to their bodies, we hope to give more people the confidence to recognise symptoms, ask questions and seek medical advice when they need it.
You could be the person who starts that conversation.
And you don't have to commit to volunteering every week. Even if you can spare just a couple of hours occasionally, your time could help us reach someone who needs to hear our message.
